Amanda Y. Kim Partner

Amanda Y. Kim focuses on litigating disputes ranging from product liability cases to commercial litigation. She has defended and represented international and domestic manufacturers of various products, including but not limited to, tires, excavators, wheel loaders, lathes, battery cells, microwave ovens, refrigerators, water heaters, and numerous other products.  Ms. Kim’s practice also includes general commercial and contract disputes, industrial warranty and sale-of-goods matters, and labor and employment matters.

Ms. Kim’s fluency in Korean has allowed her to efficiently serve the Korean insurance industry by facilitating a better understanding of the U.S. litigation system and streamlining the discovery process in complex litigation matters, particularly with respect to the product liability area.  Ms. Kim understands the cross-cultural challenges resulting from different business and legal systems in Korea and the U.S. and works with Korean defendants to develop cost-effective and successful defense strategies. Ms. Kim has also assisted Korean companies on various legal matters, including applicability of coverage under liability policies and review of technical product documents.
